The educational program is the heart of a Toastmasters Club. It is the means through which you develop your communication and leadership skills and achieve your goal of increasing your confidence and becoming a better communicator.
When you become a member of Surrey Hills Toastmasters Club, you gain access to the new Toastmasters Pathways education system. Pathways sets you on a journey of personal and professional development. It offers many different avenues for you to explore and achieve and reach your full potential. It allows you to explore brand-new, dynamic projects where you learn new skills and use them to help you gain that promotion at work or plan that family event. With Pathways, you broaden your abilities to meet the goals you’ve set for yourself and become more confident.
The Toastmasters core education program is the Pathways learning experience, offering members 11 specialised learning paths with more than 300 unique competencies.
The paths are developed based on the following core competencies:
Public speaking
Interpersonal communication
Leading and managing
Leading strategically
Building confidence
Each learning path has five levels:
Level 1 - Mastering Fundamentals
Level 2 - Learning your style
Level 3 - Increasing knowledge
Level 4 - Building skills
Level 5 - Demonstrating expertise
